August 2009

The Inner Wheel Club of Long Eaton presented a cheque for £1,250 to the Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal in August 2009.  During President Carol Bridgwater's year of fund-raising, the club held several events including a safari supper and an evening's wine tasting with the Rotary Club of Long Eaton.

The Club was happy to support the Ripple Appeal as the new day care centre is urgently needed and the Ripple Appeal is on the last leg of raising £1m for a new extension at the Risley site.  Kate Shaw and Lily Grant from Treetops were very grateful for  the Club's support over the past year.
